ABOUT ME

The Beginning.

My name is Nadhiir, and I have been living with a stammer since the age of six; well, that is as far as I remember. I was in India, in a boarding school in a small town in Gujarat. I was very underweight but full of confidence.

During a class period, I remember saying something with a "stumble", and with children being so observant, I saw their reactions and, with their embarrassing laughter, began a "process."

This experience produced a chain reaction of hesitation, fear and a spiralling self-identity of limitations, which extended to other areas of my life.

And that was the beginning.

The start of the journey.

I refused to let this be a part of me. I tried everything, martial arts, weight training, anything that would make my presence look powerful to overcome this self-identity that I created, and I was so wrong.

To be fair, I was lucky always to be surrounded by supportive people, which made my journey of self-discovery and the embrace of being a stammerer a lot easier.

The progress through the journey.

I began to understand myself more during my time at university. I started meditation, and I met a lovely lady, who now is my wife, and she has been through all the trials and struggles with me.

I qualified as a Radiographer, and through its intense clinical training and further working in the clinical setting. It was my first step in understanding breathwork, understanding the mountain of emotion, psychosocial aspects of stammering, and the importance of understanding the spiritual side of the stammering "process".

Later on, in my mid 30's I further studied Osteopathy putting me more and more in an environment of always being face to face with people. The aims of gaining trust, a partnership, and an understanding between my client and me, required good communication.

And now, with over 20 years of experience in the clinical field and within those 11 years of experience in Osteopathy. This amounts to around 20 experience in a profession that involves face to face, phone to phone, and a whole array of communications, my journey to freedom from stammering kept ongoing.
I had sought guidance from different professionals, scholars, athletes and motivational speakers. And as a result, I can embrace and control my stammer.

Now, let me share the experience with you. Let us form a partnership and go through this journey together, dwelling deep into stammering, embracing it and breaking through it.

All my love and blessing to you.
